Have you just had your renovation works finished, leaving a reasonable mess to clear up?. This may be one of the reasons to opt out your improvements projects. Nevertheless, if you take into account our tips for cleaning after painting, it will be easier to deep-clean your home, leaving it spick-and-span.
Firstly, once the painting works are off, it is convenient to check that your walls are completely dry. You will avoid stains and scuff marks that may spoil the results.
Be sure there"s nothing on your shoes because you don"t want to track paint through your home.
Thoroughly clean all the tools employed after the painting sessions (brushes, trowels, rollers, paint trays,…). Rinse them under warm water, and use our CLEANING THINNER MACY if necessary. Warm, soapy water will be enough for water-based paints, and thinner will be necessary for solvent-based paint.
If you dry your applicators well, they will last for years. To help keep their shape, wrap them in a cloth and masking tape. They will look like new!
When it comes to storing paint leftovers, be sure to wipe clean all paint residues from the lid, and specially from the groove/rim, that will make it easier for you to open it when you need to, and not let the air in by making the lid fit tight, keeping the leftovers fresh for longer in this way.
Finally, it’s time to remove paint spatters. A wet cloth will be needed. If they resist, you can scrape them off with a scraper or a putty-knife.
Then, take away protectors and paint shields covering the floor or furniture, and voilà, your house will be squeaky clean! With Macy products, cleaning is as easy as painting, and exceptional prof results are guaranteed.
